Louisiana Stitching Retreat 2026

Calling all cross-stitch enthusiasts! Salem Stitches is bringing its Louisiana Stitching Retreat to St. Francisville September 22–25, 2026, offering stitchers four days of workshops, creativity, friendship, delicious food, and plenty of time to experience the charm of historic St. Francisville.

A special part of the retreat experience is Cross Quilter, St. Francisville’s local Stitch & Quilt Shop and the host shop for the retreat. Located in the heart of the community, Cross Quilter combines cross-stitch and quilting under one roof, offering a wonderful selection of fabrics, threads, patterns, notions, kits, and stitching supplies.

Retreat guests will have the opportunity to visit Cross Quilter during the retreat’s Early Bird Monday, September 21, where they can enjoy a cool drink and treat and pick up their Local Tourist Bag before settling into their St. Francisville stay.

The Louisiana Stitching Retreat features five stitching and finishing workshops with internationally known designers, including Cherry Guidry of Cherry Blossoms, December Stitches, and Jean Farish Needleworks, along with special Louisiana-themed projects created for the retreat. Attendees will also enjoy catered meals, dinners at local restaurants, stitching goodies, and time to explore St. Francisville’s history, architecture, shopping, and culinary scene. Beginners are welcome!

Workshops will be held at Jackson Hall at Grace Church in downtown St. Francisville, providing a walkable home base for guests to enjoy the town between stitching sessions.
