A Walk in the Past at Oakley Plantation, 1795–1821. This story begins with the arrival in West Feliciana of Ruffin and Lucretia Gray and their 20 enslaved workers, and describes how both free and enslaved wrested and developed lands from the wild to create one of the largest and wealthiest plantations in Louisiana.
