West Feliciana Parish Library is pleased to announce an upcoming program tailored for aspiring green thumbs and gardening enthusiasts. On March 15, 2024, at 6:00 pm, the library will host a comprehensive workshop on beginning vegetable gardening. This program is free and open to the public.

Horticulture expert Jessie Hoover from the LSU AgCenter extension office will teach us the ins and outs of vegetable gardening for the first time. This engaging event aims to equip attendees with the essential knowledge and skills needed to start their own vegetable gardens successfully. Whether you’re a novice gardener or simply looking to enhance your gardening expertise, this program promises valuable insights and practical tips.

Participants can expect to learn about various aspects of vegetable gardening, including selecting the right plants, preparing the soil, planting techniques, watering and fertilizing, pest control, and harvesting, as well as selecting the right plants for our growing zone and your garden conditions.
