Historic Native Plant Use Tours

11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Audubon State Historic Site. In 1821 the people who lived on Oakley Plantation, both enslaved and free, still depended on native plants to provide a wide variety of food, medicine, tools, and other necessities. Many of these plants are still found today at the park. Join a park interpreter for a leisurely walk to discover some of the many uses of our native plants. This event may be cancelled due to inclement weather. An admission is charged. For more information, please call the park at 225-635-3739.
