Cottage Plantation

Cottage Plantation

As St. Francisville’s oldest established bed and breakfast, Cottage Plantation is one of the few remaining complete antebellum plantation complexes. In the 1810s, Andrew Jackson was a guest at the Cottage on his way to Natchez, MS after the Battle of New Orleans.

Surrounded by spacious galleries, guests can see the plantation dependencies including law office/school house, milk house, kitchen, smoke house, old slave quarters, barns, and other structures that complete a working plantation. Guest rooms on the wing, all furnished with antiques and private baths, overlook the dependencies and the swimming pool. Other amenities include a swimming pool and croquet for guests’ leisure.
