There’s something special about seeing St. Francis

There’s something special about seeing St. Francisville through someone else’s lens. 📸

This week, we welcomed Voyage Voyage, a French-language travel magazine, to West Feliciana as part of an international media visit with Explore Louisiana. 🇫🇷

From the incredible Big Cypress at Cat Island and the history of Oakley to local art, coffee and some really good food, they spent their time experiencing and photographing the people, places and stories that make our corner of Louisiana so special.

Visits like this truly take a community, and ours showed up! A huge thank you to The Shade Tree Inn, Louisiana Hospitality Group, The Francis Smokehouse, Friends of Cat Island, Audubon State Historic Site, Bayou Sara Brewing Company, Birdman Coffee, Proud Mary’s, The Art House, Basel’s Market and Elta Coffee for helping us welcome our guests and share a little piece of West Feliciana with them.

And a special thank you to Explore Louisiana for bringing this opportunity our way and helping us share St. Francisville with an international audience.

Now we can’t wait to see our little corner of Louisiana through Voyage Voyage’s lens.
