Christmas in the Country 2023

Over the river and through the woods to St. Francisville we go! Christmas in the Country is an annual weekend that will transform you into a holiday movie scene. Christmas in the Country promises a weekend filled with festive activities, music, delicious food, and the warmth of community spirit. Here’s a rundown of the exciting events taking place from December 1st to December 3rd:

Friday, December 1st:

5:00pm-7:00pm – Gingerbread Man Scavenger Hunt Prize Pick Up – Town Hall

Get the festivities started by picking up your prizes for the Gingerbread Man Scavenger Hunt at the Town Hall.

5:00pm-9:00pm – Artists in Parker Park

Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit with over 60 vendors offering unique handmade items in Parker Park.

5:30pm – Music on the Porch

The West Feliciana Parish School Choirs will enchant the evening with their performances on the front porch of the Town Hall.

6:00pm – Lighting of the Town Christmas Tree

Witness the magical moment when the Mayor lights the town Christmas tree, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.

6:00pm-9:00pm – Jingle Bell Mingle

Head to Commerce Street for the Jingle Bell Mingle, featuring live music, food trucks, and a joyful atmosphere for dancing and mingling.

6:00pm-9:00pm – Don & Konspiracy

Enjoy the musical talents of Don & Konspiracy as they keep the festivities alive.

6:30pm-8:30pm – Living Nativity

First Baptist Church presents a Living Nativity, complete with crafts, a petting stable, and treats like cookies and cocoa.

7:30pm-9:30pm – Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra Holiday Brass Concert

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra will be performing their annual Holiday Brass Concert at the Greek Amphitheatre at Hemingbough. Get tickets here.

8:00pm – Lighting of West Feliciana Parish Hospital

Experience a Christmas Drive Thru from Burnett Road into the hospital campus, featuring lights, decorations, cookies, and cocoa.

Marvel at the beauty of 3000 luminaries lighting up the streets for a family-friendly evening.

Save the Date: Cocktails and Caroling – December 15th

4:00pm-6:00pm – Shop Downtown and Enjoy Christmas Cocktails

Sip on festive cocktails while shopping downtown and getting into the holiday spirit.

6:30pm – Caroling in Parker Park

Join the community for caroling in Parker Park, creating a perfect ending to the Christmas festivities.
